Nowadays, Dohl parties can be held practically anywhere you can think of – wedding hall, restaurant, lounge, backyard, church, park, community center …you name it, and it can be done!
Location
Ideally, the venue should be held at an optimal point where the majority of your guests can get to with relative ease. But sometimes sacrifices will need to be made at the expense of inconveniencing your guests, in order to plan the most perfect event for your child. Families and friends will forgive you.
Lighting
If the party is slated for an early afternoon gathering, it would be ideal to select a venue that takes in a good amount of natural light to help with the photography. Things to consider are the direction of sunlight entering the room, the size of the windows, and the availability of soft lights provided in the room.

Pricing
Choosing a venue is probably the biggest financial decision, as it has the potential to eat away a good portion of your budget. If the event is being held at a banquet hall, you can expect to pay anywhere between $40 – $80 per guest.
Some venues are open to price negotiations, especially if you book in advance and on weekdays. Unfortunately, it may prove to be more difficult to budge from their price points for the more popular venues. It sure couldn’t hurt to ask.
Don’t put this off!
Similar to a wedding, once you have selected a couple of options, the first thing you want to do is to check for availability and lock down the venue so that you can start telling your guests about the date and location of your event. Some places, especially in metro areas, get booked months and months in advance, so act fast!
